shomi_ for iPhone App Reviews

I know Im probably the only one who thinks so judging by some of these reviews but honestly i love this app and use it all the time to watch almost any movie I want!

So this app still functions as poorly as the day it was launched. No improvements or fixes on the original bugs I have encountered.

This is a very "buggy" app. Titles will frequently freeze while playing. The audio keeps going but the video freezes. Also, closed captioning will appear when playing through an Apple TV device and theres no way to turn it off. This app really needs fixing.

Im considering to churn because the video kept frozen every single time I tried to watch something. My internet connection is really fast, but they kept telling me to check my network. Netflix I guess Im going back with you.

My own personal option is that shomi is way better than Netflix. I have shomi at my home also, this app is amazing for late night shows.

You cant active your stupid service and it works horribly. Your website does not work on mobile and cant get to work on Apple TV. You are not a good solution and should be embarrassed of your company

Disconnection / slowness and many more problems using this App on iPhone / iPad / Apple TV 4 or even WEB site! Let me get right to the point. Competing with Netflix and steal their die-hard customers requires a lot more than adding bunch of movies, TV shows. DELETED!

The website is much better than this app. The app doesnt play nice with WiFi and randomly stops working or tells you that there is no internet connection when your phone shows you are connected. I like the Netflix app a lot better.

Netflix is WAY better! When is come too the applications operational motives. Too many glitches.

This app is so slow. Videos have to buffer all the time. Even if your wifi connection is strong it doesnt work well. Will be going back to Netflix.

App doesnt let you type your username and password.

I subscribed through my Apple TV iTunes account, cannot sign into this app. Needs an email and password that I never made and gives no instructions how to restore my iTunes purchase Shomi subscription.

This is a great streaming service, works great on my iPhone 5, iPad Air 2. Netflix is International and does not curate their content. Shomi is personable and Canadian. Thank you Shomi for all your endless hours of content and willingness to push the bar for Technology.

Just copy Netflix..done If I fall asleep watching it on my phone it stays open all night. No auto play. Just copy Netflix they got it right. Soon would be nice.

Takes a really long time to load. And there isnt an issue with the Internet as I have the Rogers ignite 100. Also there is a blue line streak at the bottom of each video when playing.

Cannot get past initial login no matter what method I try. Absolute garage & not user friendly. Same goes for the app on PS4.

Does not run well at all. Nowhere near as good as netflix. Good old movie selection but am no longer going to pay for something that hardly works

Keeps crashing every time I try to use it and customer service is a JOKE! After asking for help and questions about a refund, my agent MONIQUE P ended the conversation and refused to give me an answer! Dont ever use this website, it is awful! YouTube has better shows that this garbage! Dont waste your money!!! If I could give it zero stars I would!

For a competitor of Netflix, this app definitely needs a revamp. The app is not user friendly and the constant loads needed every time you switch out of the app is really irritating. You cant save shows like Netflix, which is irritating when you have to manually look for everything and for some reason, the video is almost always upside down whenever, I play something, so im forced to move around my phone to get it into place.

When chrome casting, the subtitles do not show up. Also the same issue with crave tv.
